Research themes: participation and involvement of foreign national prisoners

In 2020, Flore Croux defended her PhD researcher titled: "Participation behind bars: A study on foreign national prisoners in Belgium". This PhD was part of the FIP²-project (Foreigners’ Involvement and Participation in Prison) which was funded by the Research Foundation Flanders, and which was a collaboration between the Department of Educational Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and the Department of Special Needs Education of Ghent University. Flore currently works as an education coordinator at the prison of Haren (Brussels) and remains affiliated with the research group PArticipation and Learning in Detention (PALD).
